At Titan Aston Academy students are entitled to careers information, advice and guidance and also careers education to help prepare for their next career step. All our advisers are committed to providing quality, impartial careers and progression support. The aim of our programme is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to make wise and informed choices regarding their future and develop skills to prepare them for their working life.
We underpin our strategy with the Gatsby Benchmark and our careers schedule is a programme of self-development, career exploration and career management. All of which enables pupils to understand themselves and gives them an opportunity to research and plan an appropriate career path throughout KS3 and KS4.
The school works closely with a, external and impartial Careers Advisor and they visit the school to have one to one interviews with our students. In addition to individual interviews and group sessions are offered by our careers lead during drop in lunch time sessions and after school. Students have access to up to date information about their future options in the Careers sections of the school where leaflets, books, magazines and college prospectuses are available.
The Academy openly welcomes providers from HE / FE and Apprenticeships along with employers to visit the Academy to talk to students about the opportunities they have. Any organisation wanting to come in to the Academy should contact Simone Stoddard at firstname.lastname@example.org / email@example.com. Full details about to access the Academy can be seen by viewing the Provider Access Policy link
